Not only this, but she also tells them Harry is a complete liar. She refuses to teach her students defensive magic. Harry and his classmates quickly form a dislike for Professor Umbridge. This is because Fudge has been pressuring the Daily Prophet newspaper to publish untrue stories that discredit Harry so no one will believe his story that Voldemort has truly returned. Harry finds that many of his classmates believe he is mentally unstable. There, they learn that the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher is Dolores Umbridge, the Senior Undersecretary to Fudge. Harry and his friends Ron and Hermione return for their fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Thanks to her testimony, and Dumbledore's, Harry is cleared of all charges.
